Organizations Pod throws error, 'Measurement services were not registered'

Overview of the Issue

This issue occurs in the following circumstances:

  1. A vFunction organization is seeing unexpected behavior in the UI
  2. The vFunction Server infrastructure runs in a Kubernetes or OpenShift Cluster
  3. The organization looks at the logs from the vfunction-vfapi-organizations Pod and sees the following log line:
[GIN] 2024/04/26 - 20:53:42 | 500 |     473.805µs |   xxx.xxx.xxx.x | POST     "/api/v1/organizations/applications/global/state/data"
Error #01: Measurement services were not registered

Steps to Resolve the Issue

This issue can be worked around by restarting the vfunction-vfapi-measurements Pods.

To resolve this issue permanently, upgrade the vFunction Server to version 3.5.1345 or later.
