When a code change is made to an application, that change could potentially have a negative impact on the the Application. You can set up a plan to perform learning and application analysis and get various notifications.

Setup the Continuous Modernization

To setup the continuous modernization plan switch to the MODERNIZING tab in vFunction server’s web UI and click SETUP CONTINUOUS MODERNIZATION

This will popup and window with three pages:

1. Configure Alerts - choose the alerts to receive and how to receive them (Email, Slack). If you want to receive alerts in Slack you need to configure Slack by clicking My Account under your email in the left pane of the main UI screen.

2. Configure Plan - select the base measurement: the new data will be on top of this measurement and the notifications will be compared to this measurement (e.g., if a new service is added). Also, select the frequency of analysis independendtly of when the learning is done.

3. Schedule Learning - configure one or more schedules to conduct learning, assuming the application is running during those times.
